How long have you been working for Gila Rut?

I’ve been at Gila Rut for 3.5 years but I’ve been doing hair for 22 years.  I’ve worked at some great salons but Gila Rut is the best salon ever.

What inspires you as a stylist?

I’m inspired by old and new styles, the latest trends, or bringing something back in a new way. The service I absolutely love doing right now is Vomor Extensions! They are the tape in method. They are easy and fast to apply, they look so natural and come in so many colors that you can use them for volume, texture, length or even a color pop!

Gila Loves Giving Back

We love giving back to our community! Gila Rut will be partnering with The Mater Dei & Junior Optimists to give you “A Winter Princess Ball.”  Gila Rut will be providing their hair and make-up services to all the little princess. All Proceeds from this with be donated to cancer research for children.

When: Saturday, Janurary 24th  5:00pm – 7:00pm

Nature often inspires me as a colorist. I love the way colors flow seamlessly in and out of each other, season to season. The possibilities are endless…..

What is your favorite trend in the hair world right now?

Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of silver and chrome colors. It is a very cool transition; to create grey instead of covering it up.

What is your favorite Aveda product and how would you use it on clients?

Beautifing Oil is my favorite right now. I like to mix it in with hand massages, facials, and even into my color. Every part of us needs extra moisture this time of the year and Beautifing Oil delivers!

What inspires me is my clients and the fact that changing their look would make an impact on their life. That is what excites me the most.

I am loving blunt lines and clean cuts. I also love to see dramatic angles. Its all about edginess with class.
