HISTORY
After traveling and teaching across the United States and Europe, Keri wanted to put her unique stamp on the Salon Industry. She and her mother, Carol, opened their first Gila Rūt Salon in 1992, in the hip neighborhood of Hillcrest, San Diego.
The goal was to create an environment where the staff would flourish and the guests would receive the ‘ultimate salon experience’. By 2004, the salon had established a reputation as one of the most progressive salons in the country. Known for it’s intense focus on Salon Education, over 10,000 happy guests, and an accolade of press; named one of the 200 fastest growing salons in the country by Salon Today magazine, 6 years in a row, we were official.
In 2006, Karla Lopez-Martinez partnered with Gila Rūt Salon to open our second location in the South Bay at Otay Ranch Town Center. We were received with immediate success…
